CHAPTER TEN

Kyros walked out of the door leaving a class full of students in awe and a stunned Harpreet standing with Barbette. Harpreet turned to her class. “Class is dismissed for the rest of the day; however, I expect you to work harder tomorrow. To the question on all your minds, yes that was Kyros.”

“Children are so easily impressed. I haven’t seen you for some time, Harpreet, how have you been?” asked Barbette.

“Until Kyros entered my life, I’ve been plodding along nicely, thank you,” she said, smiling.

“I know the feeling; we’d better do as his master’s voice requested.”

“His master’s voice?” asked Harpreet.

“Yes, dear, Kyros,” confirmed Barbette. “You’re about to meet your new students for the first time. They’ve never had a tutor before. All their development has been self-taught.”

“What sort of world do you come from that there are no teachers of spiritual truth?” Harpreet questioned.

“A primitive one,” Barbette replied mildly. “At Oletha’s request each one was transported to Telluric for safekeeping from Slegna, including Nathanial. I have been supervising their lives without their knowledge ever since. They’re a rag-tag set of individualists whom I love a great deal.”

“Did you see what he gave me?”

Barbette looked at the sapphire in Harpreet’s hand, not surprised to find it was in the design of a wolf’s head. “This is larger than those he gave your new students. I think, my dear, that Kyros has chosen you to belong to a select group of individuals.”

They walked out of the classroom to the transport portal, disappearing and then reappearing in the bookshop. Harpreet surveyed her surroundings carefully.

“Barbette, what has happened to Nathanial and who is your friend?” Renae asked.

“If you would all gather round I will do the introductions,” Barbette began.

“That won’t be necessary, Barbette, if you don’t mind I will conduct the introductions.”

“As you wish, Harpreet.” Hiding her smile, Barbette nodded and stepped to one side.

“My name is Harpreet; I am a spiritual teacher of awareness and truth. I’m to be one of your tutors. I come from a world called Terraqueous.”

“That’s the same planet as Barbette,” Renae commented.

Harpreet looked at who had spoken. She saw a woman with short mousey-blonde hair, a firm disciplined body and a rugged beauty, blue eyes and a no-nonsense look to her face.

“You are Renae and you were born on the 2/4/1964,” Harpreet stated.

“Yes,” confirmed Renae, wondering how she knew.

“You are presently learning energy control with Barbette. You are also the leader of your group.”

“That’s correct.”

The next person Harpreet regarded was a young woman of twenty-six years. She stood her seven feet with pride and had luxurious dark skin and long delicate fingers. Black wavy hair cascaded over her shoulders, complementing her brown eyes and a slim body.

“You are Lomasi, born on the 5/1/1982?”

“Yes, Harpreet.”

“You see the spiritual content in material things. This gives the impression that you can see through solid objects, including clothing.”

“Yes,” Lomasi responded, blushing.

Harpreet turned to an attractive thirty-five-year-old woman, with long light brown hair, piercing blue eyes and full lips. She was barefooted and stood about five foot six inches.
